Tiana's Beach Villas

Tiana's offers three "no thrills" units in a long thin bungalow all facing the beach but screened by ironwood trees for privacy. These units have an open-plan sleeping (double bed) / dining area / kitchen area (fridge/freezer, full gas oven, microwave and electric kettle) plus a large wooden veranda overlooking the beach. There is no phone in the studio units and they sleep a maximum of two people.

The two stand-alone beach bungalows offer larger living space and just steps back from the beach. They have sloped, beamed ceilings and light, wood-panelled walls decorated with local paintings. The bungalows are dual-access; the front door leading through to a large, cool, private decked terrace with table and chairs and a fabulous lagoon view. The beach bungalows are quite spacious and have a separate bedroom with double bed and an open-plan L-shaped kitchen/lounge area with an extra sofa-bed and dining table. These villas sleep a maximum of three people.

Tiana's Villas has a stunning outlook over a stretch of soft, pale sand at the southern end of Muri Lagoon and opposite an uninhabited island. The beach is an idyllic expanse of tree-lined white sand, with a sparkling, turquoise rock-strewn lagoon; great for a cooling dip and with good snorkelling 100 metres or so off the beach around Taakoka Island. Kayaks are available for complimentary use, to explore the surrounding lagoon and reef. Five minutes walk along the sand is the heart of Muri Beach, with safe, sandy-bed, all-tide swimming. Slightly further away in the opposite direction is fantastic snorkelling at the famous “Fruits of Rarotonga” reef. 

The owners of Tiana's live at the back of the units and are there to help guests settle in and to provide information about the island. The bungalows are a short walking distance to local shops and the dozen or so restaurants around Muri. Kayaks are provided for guest use.
