Aitutaki / Atiu Sightseeing

Aitutaki has an exquisite lagoon with uninhabited islands to visit and sand-spits connecting islets to walk across. Atiu is famed for its limestone caves, traditional lifestyle and endemic birds.

Rarotonga is a small island with all sites easily accessible wherever you choose to stay and all accommodation is located along the coastal road. The north and east coast of Rarotonga have the easiest access to the mountain walking trails. Aitutaki is also small, although resorts on the uninhabited islands have more restricted exploring opportunities. Accommodation on Atiu is very limited and is located inland from the coast on a central plateau where the villages are also located.
