Akaiami Lodge (formerly Akaiami Lodge) is one of the few accommodations set on the gorgeous fringing islands of Aitutaki Lagoon. Set on a beautiful white sandy beach with pristine turquoise swimming and snorkelling lagoon , this original Teal flying boat terminal has been lovingly restored to its former glory and transformed into a boutique lodge for those wanting to really escape the crowds.

The lodge is the original terminal and offers spacious living with a huge lounge with two single beds and double bed, a separate bedroom with double bed, a fully equipped kitchen and laundry. Out front, facing the beach, is a large wooden veranda.

The beach villa can sleep four people in two separate houses with fully equipped kitchen, ensuite bathroom and deck shower.

The TEAL Flying Boats of legend, plying the fabled 'Coral Route', landed in Aitutaki lagoon alongside this tiny uninhabited island to refuel aircraft, passengers and crew. Here, the original landowners have re-built and lovingly furnished the terminal building as the ultimate, absolute lagoon beach front hideaway from the world.
